Annual Planning and Performance Management

Connect program performance and organizational risk to a practical annual IPAC plan. Learn to set priorities, monitor meaningful measures, manage competing demands, and renew the program as needs change.

Included in the IPAC Lead Leadership Program for Long-Term Care.

Course Description

An annual IPAC plan should reflect what the organization needs now, what the previous year revealed, and what the team can realistically deliver. Meaningful performance measures help you judge progress and decide where to adapt.

This final course in the recommended program sequence brings leadership concepts together through annual planning, performance monitoring, evaluation, and renewal. You will explore how to use Organizational Risk Assessment findings, develop an operational work plan, select indicators, and communicate performance. The course also addresses prioritization, delegation, strategic leadership time, and adjustments when emerging risks or organizational changes affect the plan.

Recommended prior knowledge: No formal prerequisite is required.
