International College of Infection Control Professionals Inc. (“ICICP”, “the College”, “we”, “us”, “our”)

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using our website or online services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

2. Educational and informational use

Our website content is provided for general informational purposes. Program details (including schedules, tuition, delivery mode, prerequisites, and outcomes) may change. The definitive terms for enrolled students are set out in the applicable enrolment contract and student policies.

3. Accounts and security (LMS and student portals)

If you create or receive an account to access our LMS or online learning tools:

  • you are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your username and password,
  • you must not share accounts or allow others to complete work on your behalf,
  • you must promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:
  • disrupt or interfere with the website or LMS (including hacking, scraping, or introducing malware),
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity,
  • upload unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or hateful content,
  • copy, distribute, or republish course materials without permission,
  • attempt to access restricted areas without authorization.

5. Intellectual property

All website content and course materials (including text, videos, graphics, slide decks, assessments, logos, and downloads) are owned by ICICP or licensed to ICICP and are protected by intellectual property laws. Use is permitted only for personal, non‑commercial educational purposes unless we provide written permission otherwise.

6. User content (if you post or submit content)

If you submit content (e.g., discussion posts, assignments, feedback), you retain ownership of your content, but you grant the College a limited right to use it as needed to deliver the program, administer learning activities, and maintain academic records (subject to privacy rules and confidentiality expectations).

7. Third‑party services and links

Our website and course delivery may use third‑party platforms or contain links to third‑party resources. We are not responsible for third‑party content, privacy practices, or service availability.

8. Disclaimers

  • No professional advice: Course and website content is educational and is not a substitute for professional judgment, clinical decision‑making, legal advice, or regulatory guidance.
  • No guarantees: We do not guarantee that a course will meet every employer’s requirements, that you will obtain employment, licensing, certification, registration, or a specific outcome.
  • Technology: Access to online learning requires compatible devices and internet service. We are not responsible for issues caused by your equipment or connectivity.

9. Limitation of liability

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including educational record requirements, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, and legal/regulatory compliance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.
