Non‑Vocational Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Purpose

This policy explains when refunds, cancellations, or transfers are available for non‑vocational courses.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:
  • Self‑paced / on‑demand online courses.
  • Non‑vocational live webinars (if sold online).
  • Non‑vocational in-person workshops.

Vocational programs are governed by separate vocational student contract and refund rules.

3. Definitions

  1. College / ICICP: International College of Infection Control Professionals Inc.
  2. Purchase date: the date payment is successfully processed.
  3. Access granted: the moment you can enter the Course (e.g., login access, course unlock, access email sent, or content made available in your account).
  4. Digital content: videos, downloads, quizzes, and other online learning materials.

4. Policy: Self‑paced / on‑demand online courses

Because self paced courses provide immediate access to digital content and intellectual property:
All sales are final once access is granted. No refunds are provided after purchase/access.

5. Limited exceptions

A refund or credit may be considered only in the following circumstances:

  1. Duplicate purchase: You accidentally purchased the same Course more than once.
  2. Billing error: You were charged incorrectly due to a technical processing error.
  3. Access failure caused by the College/platform: You cannot access the Course due to a verifiable technical issue on the College’s side and the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time.
  4. Where required by law: Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
Where an exception applies, the College may choose (at its discretion and as appropriate) to provide:

  • a refund, or
  • a credit, or
  • an access extension / technical remedy.

6. Live webinars or scheduled events (if applicable)

If the College sells a scheduled non vocational live webinar/workshop:

  • If the College cancels the event and no alternative date is available, the participant will be offered a refund or credit.
  • If the participant cannot attend, the default is no refund, but the College may allow a transfer to a future date where feasible (at the College’s discretion).
Any special event-specific terms will be posted on the course/event sales page.

7. How to request a refund review (if an exception applies)

Email: support@icicp.com with:

  • your full name
  • course name
  • purchase date
  • payment receipt / order number
  • a brief explanation and any relevant screenshots

The College will acknowledge receipt and respond with a decision within a reasonable time.

8. Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe there is an error, contact the College first so we can resolve it quickly.
Unnecessary chargebacks can result in loss of platform access while the dispute is investigated.

9. Policy posting and version control

The current version of this policy is the one posted on the College website. The College may update this policy from time to time.
