1. Purpose
This Privacy Policy explains how ICICP collects, uses, discloses, safeguards, and retains personal information when you:
- visit our website and learning platform(s),
- inquire about or apply to a program,
- enrol in a program (vocational or non‑vocational),
- participate in learning activities (including online and hybrid delivery), or
- communicate with us.

- through our learning management system (LMS) and related tools used to deliver programs,
- through admissions, enrolment, student services, academic administration, and compliance processes, and
- through communications (email, phone, messaging, forms, surveys).
Third‑party platforms (for example, video conferencing or an LMS provider) may also collect information under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those third‑party policies.
3. What is “personal information”?
“Personal information” generally means information about an identifiable individual, such as name, contact details, date of birth, identification numbers, and education records. It may also include online identifiers like IP address when linked to an identifiable person.

(Note: we do not intentionally store full credit card numbers on our systems if payment is processed by a third‑party processor.)

For vocational programs, we may be required to collect and/or
disclose certain information to meet obligations under Ontario’s career college
framework (including the student protections described in your enrolment
documentation, such as student complaint processes and performance reporting).
For non‑vocational programs, we use information primarily for delivery,
administration, and customer support, and as required by applicable law.

attendance expectations
We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, or as part of regulatory reporting and compliance processes.
We may disclose information to comply with legal processes, protect rights, investigate suspected fraud or misconduct, or address safety concerns.
If the College undergoes a reorganization, merger, or asset transfer, personal information may be shared as part of that process, subject to appropriate safeguards.
9. International and cross‑border processing
Our service providers may store or process information in jurisdictions outside your province or outside Canada. Where this happens, information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or loss. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to protect your passwords and devices.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including educational record requirements, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, and legal/regulatory compliance.
